| Which Bender To Get?
Looking for some direction. Which one of the two benders below will work the best for 3/16 rod, 3/16 tubing and 5/32 rod. Thanks. http://www.mcmaster.com/#2460a16/=bjovl1 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGFW4&P=SM I am leaning toward the McMaster bender. The smallest die is 1/2" so doe sthat mean I can bend a 1/2" radius? Last edited by MNROKCRAWLR; 03-22-2011 at 06:54 PM. |

| I think that "bender" might be too expensive with relocation costs and such.... Last edited by MNROKCRAWLR; 03-22-2011 at 10:32 PM. |

| What diameter are the bend radius of the three grooved bender? All the ones I have ever used have fairly large diameters and it'd be pretty huge bends for RC work.

What he said^^^^^ I have a modded version of the K&S mighty wire bender & coiler. I've used it to build literally hundreds of bumpers sliders etc... I also us the mini wire bender for some small stuff. |

I just got my k&s in the mail. Is it made for solid stock only? I put a piece of brake line in it and it flattened it right out. Solid 1/4 alum bent nicely. @tw!ll, do you have pics of your mods? Also, is the hole in the end of the bar drilled perfectly perpendicular? |

They do have a tube bender kit. It looks like a wire mesh sleeve that goes over the tube before you bend it.

If you fill the tube with sand or salt, it will help prevent kinks. Here's a link to the tube bender add-on: http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/k+s/k+s321.htm |
