3/16 wall?

There is a few thread about build with 3/16 tubing. But I have been looking that there is different wall size. So what is the recommended size for tuber's? Also dos the type of tube determine the wall size?

I like .035 wall hydraulic tubing myself. The thicker wall seems to weld better for me and holds up to abuse pretty good while still being fairly light.
