I have had a great experience with the team associated factory team hex drivers. They come I believe with 7 drivers for about 50 bucks. They are great drivers that fit literally any size nut on an rc car that I have come across

I've been using the THS set for about 4+ years and there still like new. Comes with standard and ball drivers and can be chucked in a drill for $35 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFWE7&P=7 |

For a cheap set of throw-in-the-pocket-and-take-crawling allen sets you really can't beat Bondhus. I got a small set with carrying sleeve for $7 and it fits everything on my Axials. For driver tips I really like the Axial's. The shafts have a good amount of spring without the tipps being too soft. |

I work in r/c repair for a living and my tools are my moneymakers. I have sets from Associated, Hudy, Losi and some randoms. For my actual flat and Philips drivers I have use the Associated set for coming up on 8 years now and still look new http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXATGV&P=M for most general tasks I use my Losi tools and have great luck with only replacing a few tips in almost 5 years of use. The smaller ones leave a little to be desired as far as longevity though. For my small .50 and 1/16 drivers you cant beat the Hudy stuff. One bit of help I will add is to avoid Integy and at all cost avoid the Low buck racing brand. Those 2 are pure garbage. They both had failures on their first uses. All they are good for is scavenging the handles to hold cut off L wrenches in my pit box |

Well, as an update, the 3/32" ball tip that comes with the losi multi-tip that I bought snapped off on the second screw, but the others are working like a champ. I replaced the broken driver with an extension and P2 tip. Not a bad thing all in all, the axial tips keep coming loose, going to loctite them and let em set up before vacation where I may need em badly....

i know everyone says they're junk, but i have been using Integy drivers for two years, i've broken the .05" once and the 1/16" twice (my fault), all the others work great. Non of the tips are rounded, and have held a good tight fit in all my bolts. I do plan on upgrading to hudy or that eds looks nice with their ball ends, that come in handy. But i'm perfectly happy with integy drivers. I may have been just lucky and got a good set.

When I started R/C I used the intigy and AE tools then a friend of mine got some EDS tools for his minis and I tried them and I was hooked I bought the Large 28 tool cutom set that comes in the tool pouch. Best tools I have ever owned. I also picked up the driver set of EDS for my drill. Also like it was stated above the tips from EDS are very reasonable. thanks |

You can the the team EDS tools pretty cheap here. I havn't bought them yet myself but I have heard great things about them. They are a lot cheaper at this site but they do ship from china so you may have to wait a little longer to get them

| Made in China that's why cheaper But do not offer any 3/32 or RC SAE common sizes. http://edsracingproductsstore.com/in...od&productId=5 Nice engineering, with rotating handle topper, hollow , adjustable from 120mm long. coded size indicators offer most replaceable tips at $4. Is it me or do you prefer Octagon handles? I dont care for them to roll into my screws or off my table. Thinking of buying the tips and making my own octagon handles. Team Infinity offers Octagon handles that are hollow, but from taiwan. Last edited by toy4crawlin; 05-31-2011 at 04:25 PM. |

I still have a set of these, still working today. had them since 2003 the only thing i don't like about them is the handle. once you get down to a 1.5mm so does the handle Team Integy is what i use now and have been since 2003 2004? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXKTH6&P=ML best $26 I ever spent on tools I still use the bhondus hex tools when trying to get in tight spots or angles though. | |

X1 Bhondus, been using them for 3+ years as well, still work great and they are the Ball hex at that! , easy grip handle except the size print has worn off, but can identify just by looking at the tip. Also MIP thorp is great, Associated is good also. Have 3 Dynamites, seem like good quality, dont use as much as my Bhondus though. Dont forget the Xylite short nut drivers, Since I have a huge mutt collection I'm going to make these my field tools since I just bought a 5 peice set of Team EDS ! 2.0m Ball, 2.5mm Ball, 3/32 ball and 5.5mm,7.mm, 1/4 nut drivers. say goodbye to that small short tamiya box wrench I love that they are one color with easy size indicator rings instead of the color Rainbow heavy handles Although I don't care for the all round handles since they roll around, so I am going to machine flutes into the handle or make it octagon shaped. They sure offer a wide variety of singles, tips, or sets. Though it can be difficult to find your size as not all nut drivers or balls are listed in the same place. Thank you! for posting this THREAD Last edited by toy4crawlin; 06-01-2011 at 06:51 PM. |
