|  Best $21 ever spent. Servo Connector Crimping Pilers
Tired of looking at your spaghetti servo and BEC wires jammed in open spaces in the chassis? I got these from towerhobbies. There are other brands. These pilers $21... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXYPT5&P=ML And these (females) http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTSH7&P=M And these (Males) http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTSH5&P=M I have done two dual ESC wire shortening jobs and a few servo lead reductions in the past couple days. I used this video...A cherry ol' chap...A little different pilers but gives a few tips. FF to 1:22... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHLz1Mck_Kg Some before and after shots of dual Mamba Micro Pros, 1st 3 pictures and then some dual BR-XL's, last 3 pictures. I power my servo directly from the bec and only run the servo signal wire to the Rx. So that needs a Female from the BEC. Last edited by Szczerba; 08-23-2011 at 10:11 PM. |

Just one note. Don't crimp the "wings" on the end that go around the wire itself too much. It will cut right through the wire and cut it off. Just a good snug crimp. | |

I picked up a similar tool from servocity.com and am kicking myself for waiting so long to get one! Now I don't hesitate to make all kinds of custom wires/leads and it's made working on my electronics so much nicer....

Ya'll are cheezing out, i have a pair somewhere (been looking for it), but it cost me $80  I had, for awhile a pair of $175 crimpers for plugs on the dx3s (backlight kits) but i sold them off on ebay for $150 |

a buddy of mine that works at napa hooked me up with these NAPA AUTO PARTS summit sells the same ones for $32 Summit Racing SUM-900401 - Summit Racing® Weather-Tite Crimping Tools - Overview - SummitRacing.com these work great. if you look at the design they close even, not like the cheap ones that hinge close. |

Good to see you guys finding cheaper options. I just found mine while looking for servo plugs on TowerHobbies. I use mine alot. No mess wiring on the 4x4 trophy truck |
