|  Got me a New Soldering Iron!
Well after Fry's Electronics ran out of inventory on the Hakko FX-888 in store I decided to order it online. Actually found it cheaper on eBay. Brand new shipped for $84.80! eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices No wonder 254 units were sold...I think Fry's was selling $88 + tax. |

Thats a nice looking iron, but I have to ask is it that much better than a basic old plug in job? Do you do special types of soldering? Ive just gotten back into the hobby so trying to learn all the new tricks.

I've been soldering for years and thought I was pretty good until I bought the same iron last year, I couldn't believe the difference it made in my work your going to love it.
