Default Lathe 7x10or 7x12

Been looking at lathes which one would be a good one for a hobbie worker. Been looking at harbor freight and grizzly i dont need the best just one for making some parts for the hobby.

Either one should be good, just figure out if the extra space is worth the extra cost. I will say that there is always something that will be too big to make on whatever you buy so keep that in mind.

As far as I know the grizzly and HF units are the same thing just a different color so it doesnt really matter what brand you go with.

The longer the better, and grizzly has way better customer service and more likey to have parts in stock should your lathe be damaged in transit

the hf and griz are the same lathe. can get the hf 7x10 with the internet coupon for 299. get it and buy the 7x14 bed upgrade from lms..

the 7x10 is. way to small but with the upgraded bed is still the lowest cost way to go for a big bed.
