Ottsix Ice Links Instructions for Use

Always wear safety glasses when shaping your Ice Links as they may aggressively spring out of your shaping jig, bender or other shaping device. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS WARNING!
How Ice Links are measured: The actual length of the Delrin is the length of the link.
The threaded rod is NOT included in the measurement.

Important: Ice Links come with approximately 1/2" of exposed threaded rod at either end of the Delrin. The threaded rod is not deburred, do not attempt to mate it to your link ends as your link ends will be permanently damaged.

Instructions:

If you ordered stainless steel core links:

Your links were specifically designed to be highly shapeable and will accept compound bends. Shape your link before trimming the exposed threaded rod down to the desired length. Most link ends will accept 1cm, or less, of threaded rod but be sure to measure how much threaded rod your link will accept before you trim it, as you'll want the link end to sit flush to the Delrin. Be sure to deburr the threaded rod after trimming it to length.

If you ordered titanium core links:

Your links are extremely strong. They are very difficult to shape. Compound bends are impossible without machine assistance. Non-compound shaping can be achieved using various hand wrought techniques as well as machine assist methods. Shape your link before trimming the exposed threaded rod down to the desired length. Most link ends will accept about 1cm, or less, of threaded rod but be sure to measure how much threaded rod your link will accept before you trim it, as you'll want the link end to sit flush to the Delrin. Be sure to deburr the threaded rod after trimming it to length.

Ice Links were designed to be used by experienced builders. However, new builders can post questions here on RCCRAWER.COM and come away with incredibly successful builds!
