Default Couple tuber questions

How do you guys measure the angles of rods or brake lines for 2 symmetrical pieces?

How much difference are the strengths of safety silv 45 to safety silv 56?
56 just melts at a lower temp correct?

And I need some ideas on something to build or buy for rod storage

Thank you

There is a lot of different ways to measure bends. i mark start and stops, then lay the second bent tube over the first, you can always bend more and even open it up a little if you over bend it. Once you waste about 100 bucks of tube - you'll waste another 50 bucks worth......then it'll get easier.

I am sure i will get flamed for this - but yes it melts at a lower temp making it easier to work with. For the money i do not think it is worth it. take your time and use the cheaper stuff. I do not see it stronger in any way - if anything to me its weaker.

i like to use the 45 first and then if i have any more brazing to do i use the 56.

e.g. braze a joint with 45 then if i need to braze another joint or panel nut close to that joint i use 56.

As said above mark pieces where you want the bend, then I put a dot on the bender and line that dot up with the mark on the rod and that way both pieces will have the same starting point to give a matched pair.
