A sine bar or plate lets you set things up on specific angles.

Sorry. I was thinking of 1-2-3 blocks not a sine bar.

Thank you

Had a skinny chunk of delrin left, so I cut a test wheel. Soooooo much easier with this setup.

I had a smart thought and drilled through the adapter down into the table just a wee bit and made some 1/8" alignment pins so I won't have to work very hard to get it centered back up if I take the adapter off. Currently I've got about .005" runout. I'm happy with that.

What I'm not happy about is the need to raise the quill up to nosebleed levels to fit the drill chuck. When I switch back to collets, there is a whooooooole lot of airspace there. I need to come up with something to let me raise/lower and recenter easily.

So this means custom wheels are closer to production?

It does, but only slightly. The job that pays the bills is taking priority at the moment, and I've stopped production on everything for a short while. Too many irons in the fire...

No need for concern, just shuffling priorities for a bit.

Good ol' kidney beans. These are going on the 1.9 Wraith. I decided the aluminum wheels were too blingy for it.

Whipped up a thingamajigger to center up the table & chuck. Roughed it out on the rt, then trued up the important edges with a lathe bit in the vice.

Now all I have to do is put it in a 1/2" collet, bring it down to the chuck, tighten it up, and it'll pull the rt within .002" of center.

Since you did kidney beans... how close of a replica can you get to these?
