Default Brazing video

Made a little video for those wanting to braze parts or complete chassis.

What I used:
45% silver brazing alloy
Silver brazing flux
Propane torch
Small testors paint brush

The surface I'm working on is 1/4" aluminum plate mounted on a 2x4 frame.

I bought mine locally at Acklands Grainger. Most decent welding supply companies have, or can get it. Any brand is fine, as long as it's AWS certified. You can also get 56% silver brazing alloy. It costs a bit more. It has a higher tensile strength by 5000 psi. If you give a company name and pay cash, you get 25% off. I really work at the welding shop I gave, but it's not like they check. It was $45 for the rod and $9 for the flux. This is canadian dollars. You can order it online if you can't get it nearby.

Okay, thanks.. I have ordered some 45% silver and Harris white on Ebay so i get started again. I have used silversolder before and got empty. I could buy 45% silver here but then i must buy one kilo. And it would cost about 866 $.

I tryed some other cheap silversolder rods but them needed so much heat so it was hard to work with..

I was thinking the same thing. Very good video, but if it was in the other thread, it would be stickied. Eventually this thread will drop many pages back which will be a shame.
