Which size of threading die

I got some titanium round rods for xr10 link. But I have no idea which size of the threading die is suitable.

use #6-32 thread size for 3/16" diameter rod?

use #5-40 thread size for 1/8" diameter rod?

use #8-32 thread size for 1/4" diameter rod?

And which material threading die is suitable for tianium rod, carbon steel or high-speed steel?

Thanks

Re: Which size of threading die

I used 1/8 Titanium rod for my steering links and threaded it with 6-32 with a die not problem, but the 1/8 inch rod is .10 th smaller than the OD of a true 6-32 screw. I wasn't worried about this becuase they are threading into traxxas ball links that are intended for 3mm threads, lol

I used a die but made my IRWIN, they are US made and it still looks like new after threading about 10 pieces on both ends.
