Here's my homemade bender

First i made a die
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ad4b55d.jpg

Then I made a follower
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7ef1c55b.jpg

I rounded up some hardware
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...pse154e7f7.jpg

Tapped some holes
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps33faeb66.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0c01e2b3.jpg

got all the parts layed out
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps55336313.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...psac381ad0.jpg

eveything set and ready
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...psac381ad0.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps857b8fec.jpg

Then I did some test bends
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps39af7258.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8c7decbf.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8da7f55d.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps28c49b78.jpg

Once I was happy with the bends I cut some threads
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6ce6d56f.jpg

Then my threading die gave up on me and started messing up the threads. just ordered another 3mm die and my next attempt will be with plain steel rod

Some screw jacks, fly cutter and hammer I made in high school machine shop
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9e7e77e9.jpg

digital readout brackets I made for my harbor freight 3in1 machine
http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5b0ae456.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9d67a9ce.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5a54e858.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9bf23fa7.jpg

Here's some angle plates I've been working on this week.
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...ps81d55497.jpg
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...ps8857f0e1.jpg
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...pse0afec9d.jpg
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...psea569556.jpg
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...psc3d88ea5.jpg
Now I've got to drill and tap some holes in it. Then its out to get case hardened and I'll finish grind it in a week or two. When ever I get some more free time.

Hell yeah !! You should be able to clamp down anything you can possibly think of. In machining and fabrication I dont believe in the word "Overkill"...its not in my vocabulary. With those plates the possibilities are endless. Nice Work Man !!

nothing fancy but i needed a bender so i built this..

http://i978.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/HPIM1155.jpg
http://i978.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/HPIM1156.jpg
^^drilled a couple holes and put the round stock through and welded it from the underside so there was no welds on the top to get in the way..also welded another plate 90* from the other one so i could clamp it into a vise
