Here's my homemade bender

First i made a die

Then I made a follower

I rounded up some hardware

Tapped some holes

got all the parts layed out

eveything set and ready

Then I did some test bends

Once I was happy with the bends I cut some threads

Then my threading die gave up on me and started messing up the threads. just ordered another 3mm die and my next attempt will be with plain steel rod

Here's some angle plates I've been working on this week.

Now I've got to drill and tap some holes in it. Then its out to get case hardened and I'll finish grind it in a week or two. When ever I get some more free time.

Hell yeah !! You should be able to clamp down anything you can possibly think of. In machining and fabrication I dont believe in the word "Overkill"...its not in my vocabulary. With those plates the possibilities are endless. Nice Work Man !!

nothing fancy but i needed a bender so i built this..

^^drilled a couple holes and put the round stock through and welded it from the underside so there was no welds on the top to get in the way..also welded another plate 90* from the other one so i could clamp it into a vise
