#1 is interesting, especially if done on a manual machine (more pictures would also be great).

#3 is cool since it's a different material, a closer picture might help out.

#2 looks like it could use some more deburring.

#4 is a lot of holes, harder to keep them straight so everything lines up.

Hmmmm....is #1 a CNC job or manual??

I won't say who I voted for yet or why, but I'm glad to finally see the pictures.

For those of us who don't follow that other long thread closely, can we get a description of what the challenge was and what the requirements of each competitor were?

Contestants had to create a cube no more than 1.5" square. What they do within the points of the cube is up to them.

Either manual or cnc machines were allowed, but it was asked that if you do use cnc, that you hand write the code and not use any pre-programming.

Was the cube to start out as a solid piece of material?

Sounds like a clarification of the rules are in order. I believe the "intent" was to "create a cube". Since everyone seems to have "started" with a cube, I disqualify all of you.

Better luck next time

Actually, I am just curious. If the cube was to start out as a solid piece, then this moves some of the seemingly simple creations up a level or two...

Yes, everyone started with a single solid piece of material, cut it into a cube no more than 1.5" square, then cut their own designs into it. Anything residing inside the cube was formed when the cuts were made, not inserted afterwards.
