Need some help on a brake line frame I got, it broke I'm very new to this, I tried mig welding it back on its the piece that goes on shock hoop to hold shock less than 1/4 inch long tubing is 5 mm. I've got more tubing coming ( thanks wife) I have ruined the piece and welded it to screwdriver I had inside to hold it :oops: I need some good info guys. |
Re: Need some help on a brake line frame I got, it broke I use some bricks to hold some of my parts when its too small to be holded by vice grips. Just sandwich your tube between the bricks and then lay the hoop on top with more bricks. At least even if its hard angle to braze, you wont braze the brick to the metal. *Beware, brick stay hot for a long time, wear proper gloves to handle. that's my ghetto trick that has been proven to work. |
Re: Need some help on a brake line frame I got, it broke I didn't have any lube used some flux and ended up just using my iron it gets really hot flowed good not going anywhere |

PS, punctuation is free on this and many other forums......"thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: Need some help on a brake line frame I got, it broke I doubt that if you solder the part that it will hold. You really need to get the metal red to have a good brazing or else its just like glueing... |
