| 1/4" channel? steel & alum
looking for some metal channel (c channel, u channel) with a 1/4" INNER measurement/ID. would like both steel and aluminum. but steel being priority. does such a thing exist? google hasn't had any luck finding some. -Cory |

I know lowes has U channel,I had a piece in the garage and checked,,but its more like 3/8 I.D. A little bit larger than the 1/4" your looking for. You building a crawler frame or something?

I found one place, but 2000' minimum... C-Channels, Box Channel, Steel C Channel, Aluminum, and Stainless Channels - Johnson Brothers Metal Forming Co. |

nice find! I wonder if that 3/8" is actually the arms. and the back is 1/2". reason I say that is I have some of that, that ive bought there and lowes. |

I found 1/4" polished stainless channel at dkhardware.com. The minimum of 10x20' comes from their supplier. They took my order for 20', but then the dist. Would not break a box of them. Finally after a couple of days they pulled enough strings to get it for me, but said it will never happen again. You could call them and ask.... Or start a co-op and buy a box of it. Also found it at a site in NY, I think they had a $100 min. Plus cutting charges to get down to ups size. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

Did you look at McMaster-Carr? Also, I know a lot of people use box/square material and cut in half to make C-channel. |

yeah I looked there. didn't seem to find any. most C/U channel I see the inside edges are not straight, they are angled in. ie for strength at the 90* joint.
