You pay for quality. Just think you can pay $20 for an cheap crap set with like 8 drivers but have them stuff all the hex heads on your truck and wear out the driver in a couple of uses or buy a decent set which do cost more but work 100x better and you can buy just a new tip for them instead of the whole set again. Then who'll be saying money. |

I use Bondhus on 1/8 and 1/5 hands down. Anything including and below 1/10 I use either TLR drivers or my favorite at the moment is my Factory Team fat grip pit driver! The one with the huge anodized blue handle. So comfortable! Bondhus is nice but anything smaller than 3.0mm their drivers are too long and bend too easily so I've spent two batches back lifetime replacement free of charge. Hope that helps! |

Thorp are great tools. I was never a fan of the handles. You might try these guys they make quality tools. Some very complete kits for a reasonable price. arrowmax-rc.com I have been suing and abusing Xceed tools for years. But they can be a bit of a PIA to find online. Xceed RC Products - Products |

I have been a Mechanic and machinist when it come's to quality tools the price doesn't matter. You're doing the right thing by asking around. When it come's to working on my RC's I have a collection of Snap-on, Moody, and Wiha tools. All of these company's have some nice stuff that comes in roll pouches or hard cases that keeps everything together, and one more thing they are cheaper than some of the big branded RC stuff.

For bench work I prefer T-handles and have 3 Bondhus wrenches I use all the time. I like the heavy flywheel effect you get from the handles when spinning screws in or out...probably the reason I've never wanted an electric driver. I also like the length since they can reach into tight places easily.
