I forgot about those... so yeah, looks like I've moved on. That being said, I really need to make a list of projects because it's not the only forgotten one...

Guess I better take mine back from my daughter then...

Between my day job and SMW I usually have around 10 projects going on at any one time.

Out of sight and out of mind gets me every time! I packed up the vacuum former months ago...

Haha, funny you say that, because that's exactly the look I was hoping for with the t-shirt samples that showed up today. I also got a slightly darker version but it's so good I'm already wearing it

I am wondering if you could print these. Even just a single layer of CF in the middle would do wonders for the strength of the wheel...

The three samples were all medium so you don't even have to wait...

Old pictures of Casey's CAD model and a new picture of his RR10 skid...

The first more traditionally oriented (horizontal) build failed but rather than modifying Casey's design I decided to try printing the skid on it's side. This meant that the CF is laid out more like a rib of a wing with each rib being 2.5mm thick. It might be a look that only a mother could love but the skid can always be dyed black if wanted.

Awesome sauce.

Would it make a difference printing it on the back side of the skid so that the ribs go across the width instead of front to back?

Would just need to modify the back so that it created a nice flat base to build from. I'd like to see more surface area than the sides had, it was a little wiggly near the end. Reworking the bottom and printing it horizontally is a better choice though.
