Default Brazing help

Hey all, what do you guys do when you are brazing frames/ chassis? I am looking into getting myself a setup to do some brazing of brakeline and steel rod that is the same thickness of brakeline. Do you guys have a "workstation" setup that is steel or something? I'm looking to use a mapp torch. I got a cheap tubing bender from princess auto (link is below). Would that bender work adequately? Should I pick up a different one from somewhere? Any tips and help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just used the search function in the tools and procedures section that came up with 193 results for 'bender". why doesn't anybody use the search function? every time you start a new thread about the same thing it makes it harder to find the best thread on the subject.

i agree with 1tonscout but here's a couple suggestions for you

if you have a bench with a wood top i suggest putting a chunk of steel on the bench first and braze on that. if you have a bench with a metal top already then you can skip step 1.

i built a small steel "table" to use for brazing that sits on the wood bench. took a chunk of steel plate, cut 4 pieces of 1/2" square steel tube and mig welded them together. also stay away from gasoline or any flammable things haha.. oh and wear some kind of shaded eye protection (examples-mig welding helmet, oxy/acet welding goggles or dark sunglasses) to keep your eyes from burning
