ok, i am planning on building a torsion style chassis out of delrin, and i was wondering if delrin is flexable enough to use for this. i was planning on using 1/8" delrin plate. is this too thick for a torsion chassis? should i maybe plan on using 1/16" delrin plate instead? i just wanted to throw this question out and get some feedback from the guys that deal with the stuff on a regular basis before spending the money on the sheet of it.

from my experience with it in dirt oval racing it has a high impact rate but it snaps.it doesn't seem to bend. its rather stiff stuff.

It is not nearly stiff enough for a back bone unless you made it from 3/4" material, its way to flexible

in my opinion, depending on the wheelbase your going for, id go with 1/16" or 1/8" aluminum. 1/16" is suitable for 12" wheelbase. anything longer, the 1/8th should be fine.
