Default you need...

i just use 3/16 brake line.....any auto parts store
a mini torch, that runs on butane....wal mart, auto store...anyhwere
acid core soder...home depot, auto store
for better penetration...tinning flux...where you got the soder

it's not bullet proof, but for bumpers and small stuff it's chaep easy, and pretty durable. i bought 110 inches of brake line, soder, torch, flux, and a cheep bender, and a pipe cutter for $37.64 at my local auto parts store. and there are a few pics on here of the roll cage i just build. thats my $.02.

How do you braze?

It would be difficult to find a more "to the point" thread on brazing than that one. I would skip the butane torch and solder technique, and follow that thread.

That is a good link.
Straight to the point.

1. Brake line. 1/4" or 3/16

2. Go to ram welding supplies on line. http://www.ramweldingsupply.com/

Their Safety Silv 56 is $18.50 + shipping and handeling (1 troy ounce)
https://secure.ramweldingsupply.com/...ew.mcic?s=1423

Safety Silv 45 is $15.00 + Shipping and handeling (1 troy ounce)
https://secure.ramweldingsupply.com/...ew.mcic?s=1540

Flux is $4.50 + shipping and handeling for a 16oz jar
https://secure.ramweldingsupply.com/...ew.mcic?s=1545

3. Don't worry about High silver.

4. This really isn't a question, but - You can get some scrap sheet metal from any heating and cooling place that installs air ducts and all. Play with brazing then start on the sheet metal. Becareful cause sheet metal will burn through and warp. I try to start on one end then go to the other end and work my way towards the middle.
