Cool Mountain Storm Tire Press

Made getting the HB Rover White Dots on my 1" wide rims too easy.

Check it out.

I'll be making a Vendor Thread for this baby and posting up a video of it in action tomorrow. Too dark in the house to make a decent one tonight...but I am super stoked.

Stay tuned

Wow pretty cool idea! Makes total sense to squish the tire into the rim. Looks really spiffy too

You still gotta fiddle with the flange (that's what she said) but it sure beats battling the foam.

Thanks!

Youll have to always battle the stupid flange but it beats trying to squash the tire between your legs and then trying to slide the locking ring in or other convoluted methods of doing stuff my solution is to just not to take wheels off

I think it would make it more complicated than it needs to be. I just got some 1.9 Rock Stompers and some Pro Line Titus bead locks. I found they were easy to do up by hand because the sliding piece that locks the inner bead holds the tire in place. I was considering trying out the press on them...but it seemed unnecessary with the beat up shriveled foams these tires had (bought used lol). Maybe with large foams it would help.

I like those 3 piece steelies and almost got some for a project...but I don't think squishing the tire and foam flat would make it any easier to manipulate the parts. Then again I have never messed with them so I am just speculating.

I developed the press because stuffing giant 2 stage foams into 2.2 bags like the White Dots puffs them up in an extreme manner and then you got to fight to keep the flange from popping out before you can get the ring on there.

So you I would use your tire press on these Axial Rock Stars rims, I got four sets of these with 2.2'' Ripsaws,2.2'' Rovers,2.2'' Big Horns,2.2'' Badlands and I did them all by hand using a extra rim and starting one Beadlock ring with two screws on one side then, I then put the second ring on with two screws, so it even out both sides, it a pain in the ass but they can mounted by hand

My 1.9 steelies were a pita, but I got them mounted with just my hands and using little flat bladed screwdriver to carefully push the bead in where it should be while tightening the lug nuts that hold the wheel together. I would think that this tire press would help for the 2.2 steelies.

Looks like this would work fine for those Axial beadlocks.

Invoiced and paid, thanks!

I received the press three days later in Norcal, thanks for the fast shipping! It came very nicely packaged in large padded envelope and all the parts are very well finished and high quality.

It worked very well to mount up one 2.2 Ripsaw on RC4WD Hitman wheel with Crawler Innovations Double Deuce foams! My free time has been limited lately and I will do the other tires hopefully this week as I just finished a bunch of home repair work. So far I highly recommend the Mountain Storm Tire Press for mounting up problem wheels, tires and foams, it saved my fingers and hands from a lot of abuse and saved a ton of time! Thanks for great product!

After using this press I'm convinced it would work well for the stamped steelies too...I have a set of the 1.9s so I know what it takes to mount them up.

After using this press I would say yes for the Axial Rocksters too...most any beadlock that I've seen would benefit from this tool!
