Default My 3D printed Battery Tray

Hello all,
My work has partnered with a new Makers Space recently, and I now have access to a pretty nice 3D printer (Stratasys uPrint SE 3D printer). Amongst other gadgets, machines, and really helpful people.

My battery tray in my buggy always seemed a bit cobbled together (which it was), so I decided to clean it up.

Taught myself basics in Sketch Up and made a 3s battery holder. Pretty simple design, I just wanted to get my feet wet.

Here it is. Measures 3.75 x 1.5 x .7 inches. Designed specifically for my 3s 1300 - 2200 batteries and clearance in my buggy:

Nice fit:

Bolted into my support tray:

Tucked in nicely:

And gone:

Anyone who wants the free stl file email me at ted (at) pod225 (dot) com. Mods if this is breaking the rules to give away a free file, I will remove..

Very Slick! Have you thought of posting it on Thingiverse ? There are quite a few RC related parts on there.

Yes,
I was thinking about that, although this is pretty amateur hour compared to the stl's on that site! But it serves my purpose.

Mine took 5 minutes to design (after 2 days of trial and error learning sketchup)....

Looks great, fits great, supports battery and disappears in the truck.
