Re: Lathe and CNC warny machining videos Hey man! I’ve just stumbled on this old thread searching for information on axle tubes. I’m in my first year of engineering school and I have access to a lathe for the first time in my life (hell yeah!). Our professor has told us that if we finish the machining project we have going on right now we could produce our own parts after. I’ve wanted axles tubes for a long time and since I now have access to a lathe I was wondering about making my own! Are there any schematics or dimensions that you could give me to make my own tubes? Thanks :) P.-S.: The OD must be 11mm (since all the tubes I’ve seen seem to fit snug where the outside bearing of the axle sits) but apart from that I’m clueless about any dimensions. |
Re: Lathe and CNC warny machining videos i think as a first year engineering student you could figure this out with just an axle and housing in your hand. that is how i designed my MRC tubes and the AR-60 tubes my friends run in their yeti's. |
