Welders:

MIG
Flux Core
TIG
Silver Solder brazing (easier with brake line)

Tube bender:

Hand bent with a vise
Machine bent
BAC Industries rod bender
Brake line bender that you can find at an auto parts store

Thinking about the brazing route. So silver solder brazing, brake line and brake line bender, i want it to look legit and hold up and not bend like tin foil if ya know whatbi mean. Is brake line tough stuff?

If you fishmouth the joints and make the fit and finish just about perfect, it shouldn't get very bent. Head over to Pirate4x4 to see how race chassis are made and what all it takes to make one rigid.

MAPP gas will allow the brake line to heat up the quickest so that the silver solder can flow into the joint easier.

I use an Oxy/Acetylene torch with silicon-bronze filler rod.

Got mapp gas and torch, tube/rod cutter, bronze solder and will be usinga vise as bender. I went to check out 3/16 brakeline but didnt really feel it so i went with some 3/26 solid rod i got for cheap at home depot. Now will i still be able to braze the metal rod using flux coated bronze? Or should i really buy that 15% silver braze?

Solid rod will take a bit more heat to get the bronze rod to flow for you as it "the solid rod" acts as a heat sink. Be patient, get the joint up to temp, then add filler rod. You may want to pick up a can of powder flux from the welding supply store. That precoated rod can be a pita when the flux is melted off the rod and leaves you with bare rod. I prefer to use uncoated filler rod from the supply house and dip it in the powdered flux as needed. Just warm the tip and dip it in, it will adhere to the filler rod just like the precoat but will always be on the end of the rod where you need it.
