Default Removal of rounded set screw?

I was going to replace my cheap plastic drive shafts with some punishers and found two set screws that are wanting to round off. Is there any tricks to getting these out without tearing up to much sh!t? The drive shafts are on my TF2. I changed one shaft with no problem.

Use a Dremel cut a slot use a flat head screw driver or use a solder gun heat it up and use good hex driver that's prefibly new if it's not to stripped

Could use a left hand drill bit too. Next time use quality tools and this wont happen again.

I've had decent luck using a torx drive one size up...cuts into the corners of the rounded out hex.

I have also had good luck with torx bits on striped hex head screws, a little heat from soldering iron helps sometimes if loctite is involved .
I use this trick almost every day at work as powersport tech

For me it depends on the size of the set screw. I strip out alot of 1.5mm set screws and find that a 1/16" hex fits in it great everytime. For other screws i try either a torx or a larger hex with solder. If that doesn't work then a left hand drill. Worst case senerio's require retaping for a larger set screw. Like others have already said a easy out should work great on a set screw the tips on mine though dont get small enough for some of the smaller screws.

I just finished having to drill out a set screw for a young fella.
Start with a drill equal to hex wrench.
Drill nice and straight and be prepared the break bits.
Increase drill size until just the threads are left.

Or send it to me
