Default Badger 155-1 AirBrush Kit

My old Air Brush after 10 years of use finally broke.

This time I went with a different set up. Should work the same as my old one but as some grip to it. 155-1 Badger

As anyone used this one? And what was your likes and Dislikes?

I've been using the 155 Anthem for 2+ years now and I love it.

As long as you clean it after every use, it's very versitile and accurate (but really, that goes for any airbrush...). I find thicker paints like Parmas's Fastcolor work best in it if you thin them a bit first, though.

Here's a few bodies I've done up with mine so far:

Not really, only good thing I ever had w/ Badger in the name was my Badger airbrush.

Resently sold it to Double J!

Whats the difference between the Badger Crescendo(175) and the Anthem(155)? The Crescendo was recommended to me as a good airbrush to start with. I'm trying to decide what to get so I've been taking a look at a lot of brushes lately and this is the first time the Anthem has been mentioned.
Thanks,
Tom

The 175 is more of a pro style brush, has differant nozzle/needle for fine/med/heavy settings. The 155 has a single nozzle/needle setup witch is nice when you are starting out.

I use a 100G, its a gravity fed dual action.

Thanks for info guys! I think I'll probably pick up the Crescendo, since they're around the same price. Hopefully I can learn with it and grow as needed.

the anthem uses a special needle and tip that is made only for it. as far as ive seen theres no other needles available for it. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=++&search3=Go
dont let that stop you from getting one though, there great airbrushes and for most of the stuff we do it wont have a problem. unless you want to paint a 1:1 car or do nails

Try DixieArt guys, they're a little better on price and seem to be good folks according to a few guys that recommended them to me.
Check it out. http://www.dixieart.com/Badger_155_A..._Airbrush.html

well i did some diggin around on the net and found that theres a fine spray kit thats available, it requires a new needle, nose cone, and regualtor. Strait from badgers site....*OPTIONAL PARTS FOR FINER SPRAY. PART # 41-033 REGULATOR, PART #51-81DT NEEDLE, PART # 41-003 PAINT TIP

Also in addition to having to clean it after every use, like any airbrush, theres a small teflon bushing that is inside the barrel of the airbrush that needs to be lubricated on occasion, when spotting or pulsating is noticed. I wipe the needle with a little carnuba wax the slide it in and out of the barrel a few times till it rides smooth again, then wipe up the excess, Then I run some water through it to clear out any leftover wax. Viola runs like brand new!!!
