Dremel, corded, never had a problem with one. Get a bare bones no attachments Dremel. Then get a knock off brands 250 pc kit and youre laughing! Dremel brand kits tend to be a bit more expensive, better quality yes, but for small hobby work should be alright.

I just got a cordless dremel (at RCX) http://www.dremel.com/en-us/tools/to...=66204&I=69676 The runtimes are insane, it is light, and the torque is pretty good. The corded is a bit more powerful but they both have a place in my toolbox. |

The dremel li-ion tools actually last a long long time. I would say more than 30minutes of hard use. Ive never actually ran mine down but once.

On my cordless Dremel tools, it always helps to have a couple or three extra batteries. While you are using one, the other is charging.

| I used it out of the box for about 20 minutes. Then charged it overnight and used it "all evening", as one would normally use, off and on. Didn't run out at all. I like the Ion battery. I could charge and then take to a comp without loosing any run time. i just wish Dremel offered more "EZ lock" pieces
