Yes, Get harris Safty Silv 56 or 45, Should cost around $25 a troy ounce.

Search on here I posted a link on where to get it off the net if you can't find it at your local welding supply shop.

I get Harris Safety Silv 56 kit (flux paste and coiled wire) for about 17 dollars at a local welding supply store.

This is the best stuff. It melts quickly and the bond is super strong. I did a test peice with two pieces of 3/16 tubing brazed in a type of y. I tried to pull it apart but only bent the tubing.

Safety Silv (which is high silver content brazing rod) is much stronger than standard silver solder.

Is silver solder or safety silv stronger or easier to work with than the brass brazing rods that have the white flux coating on them?

It has a lower melting point then what you are working with so it is alot easier to work with. As far as strength well I used this stuff and brazed two peices of 1/2 square tubing together in y shape and I could not break the joint even by spiding a pipe over one peice and clamping it into a vise. I actually twisted the metal first.

I am talking about the Harris Safety Silv 56 (Radnor part number 64001752). Much better then regular Silver solder.
