My Spyderco Manix II is my favorite knife, though I'm quite fond of my ZT 0550 too.

Favorite cutters for rcs is a set of small side cutters that cut perfectly flush. They're great for cutting wire ties and cutting parts off parts trees.

Gonna have to get more specific than that, I have an entire drawer of my toolbox labeled "things that cut" that doesn't even include any type of pliers or power tools.

Top 5:

Klein Tools dikes

Milwaukee portaband

Xuron flush cutters

Husky folding utility knife

and some 30+ year old American made 8" metal scissors (no plastic handles.)

I'm not a knife snob though. Plasma cutter is a huge time saver, but I just don't use it anywhere near as frequently as the hand tools.

Its on sale right now for the month of September. AND, you get a free tool pack with it. I wish I had the time to work with one of these 'cutting tools'.

that's a nice machine, do you do commissions for custom parts? I need a custom steel slipper shaft (with threads) for a project, stock for the part i'm using is not ideal.

I have an old Kershaw folding blade that I had with me in Desert Storm. A few years ago the spring locking feature broke. I keep meaning to send it back to get it repaired, just never got the fire lit under my fat butt to do it.

I too have a Kershaw and it still extremely sharp two years later. Carried everywhere and cuts everything!!! Longest lasting knife I've possessed.

my EDC is a SOG Flash II Tanto (satin blade), I don't carry a razor blade around (lol). it's a pretty good quality knife, but it makes me wish wish i could actually sharpen a blade -_- (one of the advantages of the Fastback, throw away blades) the assisted open works really well, and the locking mechanism is very secure. only extraneous feature is the safety (who puts a safety on a knife?).
