| Lubricant
Hello all, I went to my local parts store and bought the grease below, to lubricate my differentials, and drive shaft slip yokes, and so on. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I just wanted to get the opinion of others. Any help or insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated. |

I use red and tacky for the diffs and just a light coating on the trans gears. I usually dont lube the slip joints on my driveshafts as that just attracts dirt...

+1 ^ . I use red and tacky as well. Sticks great to the gearing and doesn't fling off easily

This is one instance where searching would have yielded tons of results. That is if you use Google to search this site. Grease / lubricants have been discussed at length on this site. Here are two of the better threads: Gear Grease... Let's talk grease! |

This is what I'm using as my "go to" lube so far. Plastic on Plastic- TrakPower Krytech Ring and Pinion- Going to test both Krytech in front diff and White lightning Clean Ride in rear diff to see how long they last. Might end up using Tamiya Anti-Wear grease if results are poor. CVD joints- Krytech...I've found RC4WD shock boots work great to prevent dirt from entering CVD. Axle housing to prevent water intrusion- Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease. If your looking for an all around grease I would suggest Super-Lube. Safe for almost all plastic and nice to have around the house. I use Bel-Ray waterproof grease in our diffs and trans. I’ve used it for years on motorcycles (dirt & street) and never been disappointed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0045...TyL&ref=plSrch |

I use Phil Wood bicycle grease. Waterproof, good viscocity and plenty durable for trans and diff gears. Agree with others, I would definitely not grease anything on the driveshafts. At most, use a silicone spray and then thoroughly wipe them down to remove the excess.
