Default Pefect Shock Oil Volume

I was sick of just "eye-balling" my shock oil level when building and refreshing my shocks. Seems like I would always have to add a bit more, pour some out, to even them up, then the shock bodies would get oily and slick.

I went to my local drugstore and got a medicine / irrigation syringe. Works perfect and measurable down to the cc. Simply stick it in the shock oil bottle, draw the plunger up to exactly what you need, then squirt it into the shock.

Recently started educating myself with shock oil, and its effects(wt) and proper amounts etc.
Very simple stuff, not a lot to it, but to be able to accurately measure the CCs or whatever measurement for all 4 shocks is pretty sweet!
Great idea and cant wait to add a small syringe to my collection of useful tools.

I use little syringes like that for:

Shock oil
Oil
Waterproof Grease
Dielectric grease
Shoe goo (syringes are single use in this case)
Other stuff that I can't think at the moment..

They're super handy, best thing to come from having a sick animal was acquiring a supply of those..

SWEET idea!! I should have read this BEFORE building my Shocks. I did get other helpful tips though...
My Wraith Kit came with Icon Aluminum Shocks. After hearing from the Naysayer Gallery, telling me how bad they're going to leak, I got some actual help! A thin 3mm shim added to the lower seals, compresses the O-Rings just enough to seal better. That, and use lots of Green Slime!
So I was generous with the Green Slime, and added Shims......
Almost Two Weeks, sitting on the Stand, and not even slightly damp seepage!!! That means they'll hold up pretty well when I actually RUN her!!

Seriously, I've got a few of those irrigation syringes, plus about 1000 100cc syringes for my Insulin. Maybe I can find a better use for them, besides torturing myself!
Great idea Mike, and thanks for sharing it!

Yep, syringes are great for this stuff. I go to farm supply stores to get mine. Larger size selection, cheaper prices.

I also use blunt tip needles as well for precise application of glues and such.
