What do you bring with you?

-Toilet paper
-Food & Jetboil for a quick brew if it's cold
-Water
-Small toolkit and Leatherman
-Field soldering iron with solder, flux, etc.
-Two spare tires
-Mechanix gloves
-Packable poncho that is used as a ground sheet when its not raining -Bandana and one of those yellow microfiber towels that is used mostly for wiping off the water on the truck before sticking it back into the pack

Otherwise I carry an extra tool kit on the truck as well as a spare tire.

My bag is large enough so I can carry a smallish rig inside, or use the straps to secure a larger rig outside. I swap out usually in the middle of a trail run depending on how long we are going. Variety is good!

Also:
2 Diet Mt. Dews
Hand Wipes
Tools and spares of course
Camera or video device and mount

I've upgraded from the book bag to a 42L hiking bag. Holds at least 1 rig, space for more parts and tools that I would ever need, water bladder, and room for other people's stuff if need be. Also have a small day pack that fits parts/tools/bladder that I take on shorter/solo runs

Mines more like a sack of tweeds pack of papers spare lighter and a pipe for back up just in case and the old 4 wheeler mag to role on or a harbor freight mailer and half a pharmacy incase it hits the fan while im out i dont carry a pack on the trail though thats just my im leaving the house bag ive got a huge briggs and rilleys giant duffle bag 4ftx2ftx2ft that holds all my rc stuff and its usaly in the back of the truck with my RCs

Do you have a preferred leatherman you carry? I could definitely see one that has the bit driver and carry the bit kit and extender but just curious which you use/prefer

For that, I think the Gerber Center Drive would be the best. However, I already carry the Wave for my EDC. I like the lighter weight of it but using the driver is not ideal—it’s not very good and might strip screws.

More batteries than i need
Spare parts, and that's pretty much everything i have upgraded on the car.
Bits and bobs, that's screws - nuts - pins - thread lock - CA glue - grease and a few bearings.
Tools, that's Hex drivers - T-key for nuts - pliers - screw driver.
2 X 0.5 L Faxe kondi ( sugarfree ),,,,,, at least.
Pastries for sugar energy and so on
Survival saw - big chopper knife - a little para chord - poncho - fire starter - plastic bag for other peoples trash.
Several action cameras. ( SJ6 Legend & Sj7 Star at the moment + extra batteries )
Selfie pole and gorilla pod. ( not for selfies cuz that's just stupid, but too old to bend down to film in car level )
USB power bank.
BLF Q8 flashlight, 5000 lumens max - low camp light for days.
Automatic pocket knife in my pocket (EDC)

There may be seasonal ad dons, or ad dons for longer trips, might even camp overnight so ad dons can get pretty large.

Longer trip ad dons might be gas soldering iron & dremel for use with the 3S batteries i drive.
O and its not rare it happen that we have at least 1 spare car in the boot of the parked car just to be on the safe side.
Longer trips or overnight will off course also mean meat and bread to grill, and probably also food for the dog ( not my dog )

I better mention that when we go large, most of the stuff are in the parked car.
Denmark are small potatoes, so you are never far from the car, but we dont camp right next to the car if that's the case.

Besides my XXL sleeping back are as large as my 30 L backpack.

So the large backpack are fro my personal challenge for next summer walking across parts of Jutland, and there i will need to carry it all
