| ![]() Well, 17+ hours into a 19+ hour print, something went wrong. Got up sunday morning and it had fallen off the print bed and I had spaghetti. ![]() Quote:
Sweet! I had some weird issues like that as well. I did a print and it was too small. Re-sized it but apparently forgot to switch print profiles from PETG to PLA. It was printing too high. Once I figured that out, for some reason, it would print the prime line fine then it would raise the nozzle like 2mm. Had to re-calibrate the Z axis to get it to work again. No clue what happened. Thanks! That thing looks sweet. it is PLA so, I thought it might. I will need to order some CA. I have the front end and now, the cab. Debating on printing the bed or, doing a truggie'ish build. Was thinking of using the PLA as a test run and then using PETG for a final print. I hear the PLA doesn't hold up well in sunlight/heat. Last edited by Sniper4370; 04-20-2020 at 08:59 PM. | |

I have been using PLA for all my truck parts up to this point. It just prints so easy and clean. The only thing I have noticed is my parts might have become more brittle over time. I’m not exactly sure if that’s the case. I had printed some shock towers a year ago and just recently had one break in a spill. Not a hard spill. So when I got my Clodbuster to start a new project recently I decided to step up to PETG. Has a little more give and is pretty tough stuff. All I really had to do was step up my hot end a 30 degrees and raised my bed heat up 10 degrees. I also kept the print speed up from PLA (seems to minimize stringing). I did start using a cooling fan at 50% to keep warping on angled edges under control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I 3D print so much, do not know where to begin. It is for myself and sometimes for RC friends. I have 2 3D printers right now. A Prusa i3 MK2S and a Artillery 3D Sidewinder X1. Most of my RC scalers and crawlers have 3D printed parts. Some examples. Currently working on a scale garage and 3D printing is a great way for making scale items. Cesco RC crawler garage and scale accessoiries And a 3Dsets Landy Pickup. Printed 2 of those, one for my brother and one for me. Currently building it. Is is +/- 90% 3D printed. Chassis, body, interieur, wheels. A Ford Transit Gen1 body I 3D printed for my brother. It is on a MST CMX chassis. ![]() Resently 3D printed another body for him, a jeep FC150 that he is building now on a Element RC Enduro kit chassis. Is gonna be a tow car. Designed and 3D printed a Element RC Enduro Sendero roll bar in 3 versions. Made those available in mij Shapeways store. ![]() Most in the rear of my Axial Wraith is 3D printed. |

My SMT10 was having some serious axle movement to the point where the hexes would slam into the end of the lockouts when driving. After staring at things for a while then realizing I was out of shims, I came up with these axle spacers. ![]() They allow for an extra bearing to be installed at the end of the housing to further support the axle shaft and eliminated all in and out play from the axles. Clod sized tires are extremely hard on AR60s, so I figured support from an extra bearing could only be a good thing. |

Made some cones. Used a post processing script for Cura to add pauses at certain layers. Have to be careful not to bump the Z height out of whack when changing colors. ![]() |

I just made up a dual JST plug retainer for a project. I needed 2 different voltages and came up with this since I dont have any small 4 wire connectors. It can only plug in one way. ![]() ![]() |

Made a 3D printed dash for a Proline Ambush body. Modeled after a 1st gen Bronco dash since that's what the Ambush most looks like to me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |

That looks great! Did you "iron" the top layer?
