Nothing crazy, just some magnetic body mounts and a door and ladder for my trailer build. Going to eventually do some fenders, side windows and scale accessories. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

3D printed 1.9 beadlock wheels for a single axle trailer build. The top picture showing the back of the wheel is fully assembled with bearings installed. The picture showing the front of the wheel is not assembled. The inner spacer is shown below the 2 wheels and tires and the little aluminum cylinder is a bearing inner race spacer. Bearings are 4mm ID x 10mm OD x 4mm thick. Axle will be non-rotating with 4mm threaded rod on each end to mount the wheels.

I'm working on a drag race style cut off switch. It uses a switch I've removed from a mamba X and its meant to mount to 1mm thick lexan. I plan to use this on a light bar. I'll likely put this up on Thingiverse once its fleshed out. ![]() ![]() ![]() https://youtu.be/_s63h679UHM Last edited by HumboldtEF; 02-03-2021 at 05:43 PM. |

Needed a rear cab mount for the Sherpa. Of course it used magnets. ![]() ![]() https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4752187 Hang up and Drive Last edited by mikemcE; 02-06-2021 at 07:42 AM. |

Printed parts include front bumper, rear mount body hinge and side rails. And the entire body shell, except for windows. |

I finished my little cut off switch conversion. If anyone is interested in this let me know and I can share it. Its meant to be used with a mamba X switch. I ditched the geared idea which was fun in terms of design but not so practical. I went back to the first design moving the fulcrum point closer to the switch for more leverage and I built in some slop to the linkage so the lever arm had the amount of travel I wanted. the black part is the switch ![]() ![]() here it is installed on a little dash panel on my Moon Buggy ![]() A bit off topic but I've always liked the idea of lithophanes which I tried out a long while ago but had some failures. I gave it another shot using this site for the conversion https://lithophanemaker.com/Framed%2...tml#processing Lithophanes use a picture to create a 3d printable model that has different thicknesses to create shades of gray for a black and white photo when light is shined on it from behind It uses a nice wide frame for the perimeter which makes adhesion to the print bed much better. Last one I tried didn't have this and failed because of this. no light ![]() backlit ![]() original (not cropped like the lithophane) ![]() My white filament had some red in it apparently, there are a few layers with red in it. how do you you get your 3d print files on to the sd card for your printer to read? i have some files saved but doesn't pop up when i put the sd in the printer, reads the sd but not the files, says they're saved as stl, any help would be appreciated, sorry if not in the proper thread for this convo! Simple transfer to the SD card in windows. Make sure the write protect is unlocked on your card. Hang up and Drive |

That sounds like there is a problem with either your card or the reader. I would start by trying a different card and then ensuring the card is going into the reader correctly (it happens quite commonly that the card might not go in exactly perfect and it can see the card but not the data on it), you might also want to clean the card reader with electrical contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.

Are you putting the .stl files on the card, or the .gcode files produced by the slicer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Humboldt, That lithophane turned out great. You have to look closely to see the red when it is unlit. I was just reading about these this weekend and planning to do a few based on some artworks I made about 20 years ago. I just started printing more regularly again and trying to mix in printing some bodies with a few other projects. How long did the lithophane take? |

I pulled out my printer this weekend and thought I needed to mess around a bit as I usually don't just print random stuff. I've always been intrigued by these lithophanes they give a cool black and white look.

Slicing is done with a separate piece of free software. Most of us use CURA, google for the latest version. Then slice the stl file into G code, and burn that on your SD card. Now go to the printer , install, preheat and print. https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura Hang up and Drive Last edited by mikemcE; 02-16-2021 at 06:15 PM.

You can Google it or: https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura I also use prusaslicer but I find it a little more complex so I would start with cura. Once you slice it, you save that file to your SD card to print. I would recommend watching a quick YouTube video on slicing an STL file in whatever program you use as the slicer. That would likely be more helpful then we listing out a few starting points. Tutorial videos will be a huge help throughout this process. Especially if you have issues with your print and need to figure out what’s going on and how to correct it. Good luck
