I made some from old 2x4's that I had around the garage- works pretty good and fit the budget just right

I made one from two Toyota Avalon wheel bearings, long story. Top one is empty and bottom is a functional one, just super degreased and a shot of silicone lubricant. Glued together wrapped in vinyl, glue on circular disks with legs and top got neoprene. Spins like butter

^^^ You should sell those, put some adhesive-backed rubber to protect the top and bottom and keep it from being slippery - VERY cool, indeed!

I just ordered a couple yoga blocks (9" x 6" x 4") for $10 off Amazon, they are nicely beveled around the edges - gonna cut each one in half, for a total of 4 stands for my rapidly expanding collection of r/c vehicles...

The foam is even nicer than the foam used in the popular aftermarket foam block car stands from a well-known vendor - I have 2 of those, but I need to save money for upgrades and not blow it on simple foam blocks!

My pal Miatardo actually came up with the idea... since it's 2 blocks for $10, that works out to only $2.50 a block after cutting them in half!

I use old RTR wheels/tires for blocking up my trucks so the tires don't flat spot. Works great.

I dont think he came up with the idea . We have been using those yoga blocks for many years. Just FYI I get 4 blocks from a single, So 8 blocks per pair in an order. I have a wraith that has a bit too much travel and the tires still touch. But for any 1.9 rig and even my U4's, you can quarter the block.

It doesn’t work so well for the crawlers but for my bashers with flat chassis, I’ve been using old printer filament spools. 1 is usually enough to get the tires off the ground on 1/10 scale vehicles and stacking a couple works for the larger vehicles. There isn’t a whole lot to do with printer spools and I have a ton of them so car stands.

I use whatever is within reach/tall enough/laying around lol. Might have to look into a permanent solution. I think I have spray gun pain canister under one of them right now and a random piece of wood under the other. Would rather spend the time/effort/money on something trail related though haha.

Here's my $7 ghetto stand. It spins, sturdy, lightweight, sits at nearly eye level, good amount of storage space.

When the wife and I went to the local Target I remembered this post so I checked out these yoga block things. Looked really legit for car stand use so I ordered a few sets of them from Amazon to cut in half to replace my poor man’s stands make out of screw boxes, double gang electric boxes, a couple of old Duratrax stands, and a couple of things that I can’t even identify. Gonna feel like a pimp when my rides are standing tall and proud on their new thrones . Thanks for the tip.

I'm using the chopped up yoga blocks mostly but wanted something with more utility when wrenching on a truck, and I have 3d printers so...

I just opened and set-up my first RC and bought the same stand, but it did not fit the 1/8 so i had some aluminum around and made this
