| Re: Tube bender question That brake line you have may have to thin of a wall to get that tight of a bend with out linking. Having said that, this is my DIY bender. This is how I keep most of my bends from kinking. I use a heavy flat washer, a 1/8" spacer, or 1/4" spacer depending on the size of the tubing I'm bending. The spacer should be the same size as the tubing you want to bend. I turned a hardened socket head bolt down until I have a very thin lip to hold the washer tight... Hope that helps you out a little. I see, the tube must be kept from expanding upward....and a coved inside die isn't necessary....
