Default Getting rod ends to line up while assembling links

How do you guys ensure that rod ends line up correctly when assembling links? I am taking about angled rod ends on angled links (bomber front upper). The rod ends have to be tight but they don't necessarily bottom out against the link in the right orientation. Are we just supposed to overtighten up to a turn to line them up?

I do the same, never had an issue with it. You could unscrew it a bit too but thats probably worse as the rod end will likely rotate around since its loose.

I guess if it really bugged you and the threads havent bottomed out you could try shaving off a tiny bit of the rod end but that seems like trouble.

I'm gonna keep over tightening them though.

Axial's plastics are so ungodly soft that it's not an issue at all to just tighten it more until it's clocked how you want it. If you were to replace them with angled ends of some actual quality, you may need to slightly sand away some of the end until it's clocked how you need it, or install some appropriate thickness shims between the link and the end.

no two links are going to be perfectly even in length so I just crank them down until they seem to be angled correct. I dont imagine it has any adverse affects being such a soft plastic
