Default Would you buy one from here.....

A dremel type tool from harbor freight?

Or should i just buy one(an actual dremel) from a lowes or home depot?

Aren't harbour freight tools not as good as certain brands of tools, like the dremel?

I mean I'm just grinding/sanding RC parts? So is it worth it or no?

THANKS AGAIN GUYS!

I got some local racers who bought the 8$ ones and got what they paid for. Bushings and vibrations included for free.

My recommendation ........ by the Dremel. What you spend now will pay off later once you see how often you actually use it lol.

In the off chance you got M12 batteries, the Milwaukee rotary tool is kick ass, takes all the Dremel attachments.

I will agree on the Dremel. If you are lucky enough to have a solid benchtop look into a hanging flexible shaft. Much easier to use as it has a foot pedal, and a standard collet to fit ..... everything. Mine is a foredom

I have had the same Dremel tool for 25 years. I doubt you'll be able to say that about anything from Harbor Freight.

I have two Dremels. The first one did go to shit after not much use. I also have the HF version and it's OK for the money, but not great. After buying my Ryobi, I don't use any of the others. It's so convenient. The want is tiny so you can get into spots where a normal Dremel won't. And I can grab it and run it outside and grind without having to worry about that stuff in my house or garage.

In my experience the Dremel brand is not what it used to be, I had one go bad after less than 15 minutes of use (this was maybe 15 years ago).

About 10-15 years ago, I got an all singing and dancing dremel , lasted with very light use just beyond the year... very unimpressed with my £150 odd dremel, I got a mini como drill, fantastic but too limited and sadly under powered for many tasks, about 5 years back, I went to Lidl (don’t know if they are in the USA) and spent £30 on a battery dremel like tool, (I do also have an air die grinder), but this thing from Lidl has never let me down, still on original battery... recently I bought a fine Chuck for it as fed up of keep swapping collets, and it’s just perfect so far for everything I have used it for....

Love mine and use it all the time. It sounds like a dentist drill when you turn it all the way up.

I agree that Dremel as a brand has gone to shit in recent years. My two-year old Dremel at the time died halfway through my first kit in 2015, and it had not seen much use previously.

The $19 WEN 2305 with flex shaft kit I replaced it with has been serving faithfully ever since, and it has seen plenty of duty. I could have bought five of these pieces for what a Dremel cost so...yeah. It came from Amazon, not HF, but China is generally China.

There are plenty of mounting holes on the back to mount the unit if that's what you mean.

The two holes at the top of the picture would allow for hanging it with either light duty chain, or string/rope of your choice.

My father in law has a very old unit hanging above his wood carving area and it is a beast of a little thing. Not sure it even has a brand name on it anymore...

About 6 months ago I got the Hyper Tough brand from local Walmart for like $20 and I've been pleasantly surprised with it.
