Has anyone made something yet? I drafted up something for a blue shirt I have. Used a German house crest and WW2 VW symbol. Blue shirt, black, white, and yellow HTV.

Found this Panzer badge and thought I may try to incorporate it somehow with the side marker lights on the front fenders.

Thanks for the heads-up Jato. Need to check if that is happening up here north of the 49th as well.

Good colours in your designs, the VW symbol is neat, though it’s historical connection might stir up some emotions. We are living in some volatile times...

LOL. No more than a house crest or Panzer badge.

Run the one on the left on my VW. It gets more reaction than the one on the right di for some reason. Maybe it pops more than the outlines silhouette of a head.

The one on the right might be perceived as a reference to hockey. That head is also used as the Arizona NHL team Logo. The Coyote in the crosshairs reminds me of a Samba Bus on American Pickers that was used specifically for hunting said canine poachers. ‘The Coyote Killer’ was modified to handle the rough going.

It’s for the Mustang crowd.

PS: For transfer tape I use the yellow Frog painting tape.
Nice thanks for the info Ernie! Love the way that truck came out.

I came here looking for better options for transfer tape I’ll give the frog tape a shot. The stuff I have now from cricut is awful, doesn’t pick the decals off the the paper backing at all. I’ll check out the clear contact paper too.

For anyone curious, I recently used the cricut joy to cut vinyl masks for this van. After getting the sizing dialed in I burned through some more vinyl when I realized I needed to mirror the images to use as a mask on the inside. The vinyl worked out well enough and gave some relatively clean lines. I used the cricut removable vinyl that’s designed to not leave adhesive behind.

Topher, that Van is sick bro!!! I like that!!!

I made this vinyl for the back of my 1:1 from a picture of my rig on a blank background. Took forever to get all the details edited and was one hell of a vinyl to weed. In the end I think it came out good.

Look for a local graphics/print/sign supply shop and they can sell you a roll of transfer tape that will last for years. And good stuff too.

Van looks great! I like the paint job, just don't like the proportions of that body.

An easy trick to using real pictures is to print it in grayscale. Then trace exactly what you want to keep with a sharpie or something. Then scan it or use a .jpg of the trace/overlay and then play with the contrast and brightness until that’s all that’s left.

I can see what I’m trying to say in my head better.

I'm about to paint a fresh nukizer body for my trx-4. Going to be using my vinyl cutter to do some masks for some ghosted graphics. I'll be posting some pics here and in my build thread and may also do a video on how I do the process. I'll keep you guys in the loop. Can't wait to get it started!!!!

Cool, look forward to that. I picked up a Silhouette Cameo 4 awhile back. Been using it to cut vinyl paint masks and stencils. Works great!

If you're thinking of buying a Cricut you may want to think twice. They tried to pull some shady stuff basically requiring a subscription to use the machine and only backtracked because people were outraged.

Well that is some sh#%! I've been wanting to pick up one of these Cricut's, but no way I'm going to pay a monthly fee to use it. If I read the article right, any purchase before Dec 2021 does not require to pay a fee. Or did I miss something??

They backtracked, but it still shows they're willing to make that move. Silhouette Cameo is another option. It's the one I use.

Same here. I got a 12x24 cutting pad and do all sorts of shirts and stuff, too.
