I've been doing some research, and polycarbonate (PC) seems to be the strongest material in 3d printing that my printer can handle, but is a hassle and hard to print. I've heard that PLA is very easy to print and good for beginners, but it's not the most durable to constant wear and tear. ABS is also pretty strong, but it's still not a very beginner-friendly material I've heard.

Is starting with ABS and then moving on to polycarbonate a good idea, or should I still start with PLA, then ABS, then to PC?

I would start out with PLA to learn how to adjust the printer to get a good 1st layer print. Once you get good prints you can move on to PETG or decide to move on to a higher temp filament.

For printing ASA, ABS, PC, Nylon, you will need to build an enclosure to prevent warping of the print and having the print detach from the bed.

On the MK3s, it is better to use PC blend that takes a bit lower temperature. https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/prusamen...black-1kg.html

The Prusa site has information on printing each of the types of filaments with Pros and Cons.
