Do you mean brazing with regular brazing rod or with Safety Sliv 56? I tried both and the Harris Safety Silv is alot stronger then regular brazing and it is alot easier to work with due to a lower melting point. Just like soldering except you need alittle more heat. I go with brake tubing as it is easier to work with such as bending it etc and it is lighter thus meaning less weight up high so you get a lower CG with it rather then using solid rod. With proper planing and placment of bracing it will be more then strong enough. Just remember that more weight added to your build will mean more bracing. So you can actually build a tuber that does not look like a spiderweb of tubing and have it plenty strong. |
