Help with a toolbox hey guys im wanting to build a toolbox for my bruiser, im just wandering wich material to build it out of....plastic or metal, which is easier to build you think.. snook |
I think metal's easier - but tougher to keep it all straight without bending/denting things. |
ok well i have know idea how to even start, also what kind of metal and how should i weld it???? |
get the smallest gauge sheet you can and a mig welder, have the heat and wire speed cranked all the way up and use long trigger bursts. JK, get some styrene sheet and some plastruct bondene. cut out box pieces, bond them together then do the same for a lid. you could even get diamond plate veneer. forget the metal unless you already have access to a metal shop or know what your doing. |
well ok i have a metal shop, but i think plastic would be a litte easier anyway so were can i buy this plastic...lol ya i was like why the hell would i want to put the heat and speed all the way up...nice one8) |
hobby shop, arts and crafts or art supply store. i got a peral paints art supply right next to me, they have a goos suply of plastic and brass, surprised me happening in there one day. |
