Default Ladder frame build

Has anyone attempted to build their own ladder frames or frames based on the 1:1 frames (jeeps)? I'm attempting to build a TRUE scale vehicle based on the TJ. It'll have control arms, trackbars, and stuff like that. I want to build my own frame using steel or whatever is better to use.

Some of mine: These are 16ga steel square tubing. The one on Green Bean is made from one piece of square stock, bent to shape, then cut in half to make the 2 sides. I was made by peej410.

I used the square tubing method to make my FJ40 frame I am working on. I found the factory service manual drawings of the frame, tossed it into photoshop and enlarged it to the exact size I wanted. I then printed it out onto 2 sheets of paper, and taped them together. I bent my rails, checking them on the paper as I went. They turned out very well, and about as scale as I could get.

did you save those files? I have been thinking of a nice scale "ground up" project and that would give me a great place to start.

Just in case you may be interested in an Early Bronco project, here are some frame specs I have.
