that mainly covers the construction part of a tuber build. He is asking more of a design aspect I believe.

The best way, I have found, is to go onto webistes such as pirate4x4.com and see what 1:1 people are doing for tube rigs... take design notes from them. As far as size- i draw things up in Google sketchup! it is a very simple 3d draw program that will give you some idea of how things will look with certain dimensions... this will give you a fairly rough idea, the rest will come during the build.

Think he's referring to frame design. If thats the case you need some paper, ruler, writing utensil, ref pics, and little free time.

draw the frame out on the paper 1 to 1, helps to have the axles in your hands so you can get the relationships right.

first frame may take you a couple attempts to work right.

also remember, the width of the lower part of the chassis. make sure your trany will fit, are you planning on running your lower links on the inside or the outside. are you going to have more than one hole for upper link adjustments.
just make sure that you make room for all your stuff.

it really doesn't. I like them on the inside, that way they will not get hung up on rocks. I guess it could be how you design the rig that determines where the links go.
