I just bought this today to cut some metal for my frame. For some reason, the blade keeps popping off, especially when i try to cut 1/4" tubing for links. As soon as i touch the metal, the blade pops right off. It doesn't do this as much when i cut flat metal but it does pop off every now and then. I don't get it..... http://www.blackanddecker.com/Produc...roductID=15523 |

| There's no clamp screw on this model. You pull back on a lever and insert the blade, then release. It locks it in place.

i own one of these saws, great little saw for making a few cuts with, but i really don't think it's an appropriate saw for making a lot of cuts with... this is a great saw for drywallers..... |

Well, after using it quite a bit on my rubicood build, i discovered what it can and cannot cut. It can cut metal as long as it's at least 1/4" wide. It can cut tubing as long as it's 1/2" diameter. It cannot cut threaded rod, 1/4" tubing, or square tubing (sometimes). The blade pops off when cutting those. I haven't tried wood but i'm sure it can cut that just fine.
