delrin shock mounts

has anyone tried to make and use delrin blocks for the shock mounts at the lower links?? ...kind of like the same principal as the RC4WD ones....any feedback on if they would work or not ?

I could be wrong but,I would think the delrin would give enough to not give tight enough clamping.

yo could always put a set screw to hold the clamp in place as well. I made some collars out of delrin to slide over delrin rod with a set screw..worked pretty good"thumbsup"

i woiuld never use that style cause they hang on rocks, look how much hangs below. i just use 1/4" plastic clamps, never thought they would hold up. but after a year and a half of comps, ive never had one fail yet!

You could also locate some delrin or acetal hex stock and just drill holes in alternating faces. This could allow multiple mountin points too.

....ive seen people use those cable clamps ....do they hold tight enough not to spin or slide down the link??
