Default tapping graphite?

my LHS has graphite tubing that looks like I could fit some 6-32 down if I could just tap it... I just wonder if this would be possible?

or if anyone has tried?

Most graphite tube is made with the fibers running end to end this causes them to split. I made some links with all thread running all the way through and it worked just fine. If you tap the graphite tube and CA a small piece of brass tube on the end that would keep it from splitting.
