Default Plast-i-dip

Well I was messing around on the rocks yesterday and my on/off switch came off the double sided tape and was smashed on the rocks.
Went to radio shack and purchased a new switch.

Since I don't have any srink wrap that small and tape is just a bad idea.

Would plastidip work just as well. Since it's liquid plastic basically...??

I did a quick search and didn't find anything that pertained to covering up bare wires just water proofing with it.

Well will it work?

what kind of switch is it, if its a plastic slide type switch i would lubricate the moving parts so the dip wont stick to it and not let you move it and dip it with the switch in the middle so you have equal movement either way, seems like a good deal man. go for it.

Plastic switch with a metal top.
I'll also have to paint it on cause Ididn't take the esc off the rig.

I figured it work and am waiting on it to dry before testing it out, just incase the plasti dip has some sort of wet vapor when drying. (if that makes sense.)

Worse comes to worse, I'm out a MOPED ESC or a $2 switch that came in a two pack.

Well it worked with no problems , but I also didn't over board it by using to much. Just enough to cover what needed it.

Then I started thinking?? I noticed the tools I've used it on it's added a little grip to it..... The tires were literally inches from me, a paint brush and the tall can of Plasti dip.... HHHMMM Started wondering how it would work on tires?

Well I didn't want to dip the tire in it nore did I want to cover it all..
so I just added a little to the straight lines on the side of my moabs to see if it'd stay on for a while.
I've been driving it for the past 20 minutes trying to rub it off. just on the side of my house. Still there So now I need to test it on some rocks, but I think I'll just paint one tire just on top of the tread area and see if I can notice a difference or if it will last with a little abuse.

NOt really sure what the point is? but it will be fun none the less.

What else have you used Plasti-dip on?
so far I've found..
It's been used for water proofing.
on a lid for the appearance of different things.
Crawler Balls.. yep I use them on my balls.
Tools of course.

Hmmmm, what about mixing in some sand(or some sort of grit) into the plastidip before applying it to the tread? Definately interested to hear how this idea turns out..

try super glueing very small beads onto the rim, like 2mm, aka airsoft BBs are 6mm I believe.

Then plastidip, and now they are studded for snow use.

Works good on filling in pin holes in tip of your gloves, the rubber grit one's.It has work and hasn't leaked yet.

I use to seal any type of wires that will get wet like trailer wiring ,tools, ect.

Default Liquid Electrical Tape

Liquid electrical tape, works perfect for your situation. It's also a great seam back up for your latest modified tire creations. I bought mine online a year ago at Model Expo.
