I've seen that and a couple other home brews. If you have the time to put it togeather it would work great. Just make sure you Seal the powder container well.

Default Powder Coat

I saw a small job kit on one of the car shows, they painted a air cleaner. I thnk it was but I'm not sure, My Classic Car.
I would be alot easier to find that kit. It seemed to work well. Have you googled powder coating

If you make your own gun what do you use to "charge" the object being coated.? I have the Harbor Freight system and it works great! Was only $70.

for powdercoating a small tuber i would get it professionaly done. something that small isn't going to cost much. i got my whole banshee frame done for 300. its alot easier to just pay up then trying to put together some makeshift homebrewer and have it not work right

I have a system similar to this one but it has an adjustable volatge. They work great and but the only real problem I have run in to is prep work. Make sure it is cleaned properly and also I have noticed it does alot better with a roughed up surface. A sand blaster is next on my list!

If anyone is interested, the Harbor Freight powder coater will be on sale when their next sale starts Aug. 11th. I was looking for one last week and then looked in the ad and figured I could wait to save 50%.

Bump to the top, the harbor freight gun is on sale again for $50. I just ordered one the other day with a couple containers of matte black. Wonder how far a 16oz container lasts?

That's the exact thing I'm waiting on. Got 3 different people saying they're about to buy a new one and I can have the old. Still no stove, haha.

Yeah, already have 220 in the garage. I was hoping a stove would be big enough to fit 17" wheels in but I'm doubting it.

ALSO, depending on what size pieces you are doing, i have been informed that a larger toaster over will work nicely for baking PC, as well...

Ive used a toaster oven to PC. It works just fine for the smaller pieces.
